God Is The Creator Of All Things
Thine, O Lord1 Chronicles 29:11
Yours, O Lord, is the greatness, the power, the glory, the victory, and the majesty. Everything in the heavens and on earth is yours, O Lord, and this is your kingdom. We adore you as the one who is over all things.,
This is one of the great doxologies of Scripture, originally a part of King David’s prayer at the time of Solomon’s coronation as his successor. Although David and Solomon were the greatest kings of Israel, and two of the greatest kings in the world of their age, David rightly acknowledged that the Lord Himself was the true King, not only of Israel, but of all heaven and Earth. He is head, the supreme ruler, over all.
This is the first occurrence in Scripture of the great testimony of worship:
“O Lord, and this is your kingdom.” In the modern world, however, there are relatively few who acknowledge Him as King of creation.
Except for a small minority, most people believe that the universe has evolved and man is king.
But David’s prayer will be echoed again in the great prayer of the cherubim:
Revelation 4:11
"You are worthy, O Lord our God, to receive glory and honour and power. For you created all things, and they exist because you created what you pleased."
Then, soon afterward,
Revelation 11:16-17“The twenty-four elders sitting on their thrones before God fell with their faces to the ground and worshiped him. And they said,"We give thanks to you, Lord God, the Almighty, the one who is and who always was, for now you have assumed your great power and have begun to reign.”
Someday, every knee will bow and every tongue shall confess Him as King of kings and Lord of lords.
Psalm 2:6, 10, 12
For the Lord declares, "I have placed my chosen king on the throne in Jerusalem, on my holy mountain."……..Now then, you kings, act wisely! Be warned, you rulers of the earth!……..Submit to God's royal son, or he will become angry, and you will be destroyed in the midst of all your ivities–for his anger flares up in an instant. But what joy for all who take refuge in him!
Revelation 22:3
No longer will there be a curse upon anything. For the throne of God and of the Lamb will be there, and his servants will worship him.
