–father of strength.

  • Son of Zeror and father of Ner and of Kish and grandfather of Saul, Israel's first king (1 Sam. 9:114:51).
  • One of David's heroes from Beth-arabah (1 Chron. 11:32). Called Abi-albon in 2 Sam. 23:31.
