…I believe that humanity came into existence by direct creation of God and that humanity is uniquely made in the image and likeness of God

Genesis 1:26-27…Then God said, "Let us make human beings (Or man; Hebrew reads adam)in our image, to be like us. They will reign over the fish in the sea, the birds in the sky, the livestock, all the wild animals on the earth, and the small animals that scurry along the ground." So God created human beings in his own image. In the image of God he created them; male and female he created them.

I believe that all humanity, because of Adam’s fall, has inherited a sinful nature, I believethat all human beings choose to sin

Romans 3:23

For everyone has sinned; we all fall short of God's glorious standard.

I believe that all sin is exceedingly offensive to God

Romans 6:23

For the wages of sin is death, but the free gift of God is eternal life through Christ Jesus our Lord.

I believe that humanity is utterly unable to remedy this fallen state

Ephesians 2:1-5,12…Once you were dead because of your disobedience and your many sins.2 You used to live in sin, just like the rest of the world, obeying the devil-the commander of the powers in the unseen world. (Greek obeying the commander of the power of the air)

He is the spirit at work in the hearts of those who refuse to obey God.All of us used to live that way, following the passionate desires and inclinations of our sinful nature. By our very nature we were subject to God's anger, just like everyone else. But God is so rich in mercy, and he loved us so much,that even though we were dead because of our sins, he gave us life when he raised Christ from the dead. (It is only by God's grace that you have been saved!)…….In those days you were living apart from Christ. You were excluded from citizenship among the people of Israel, and you did not know the covenant promises God had made to them. You lived in this world without God and without hope.
