Noah Webster’s 1828 Dictionary Definition of Truth: / Conformity to fact or reality; exact accordance with that which is, or has been, or shall be. The truth of history constitutes its whole value. We rely on the truth of the scriptural prophecies.
THE COVENANT WITH NOAH
The days before the great flood were marked with violence and corruption (Gen 6:11-12). However, God chose a family and spared them because of the unmerited favor of God’s grace. God closed them into the ark so that they did not witness the destruction of the wicked. After the flood, God made His covenant.
The rainbow is the sign of God’s covenant, not only with Noah, but also with all of humanity. He will never again destroy the earth by flood.
