Satan And Music In Heaven
“Was Satan in charge of music in Heaven?”Ezekiel 26:13I will stop the music of your songs. No more will the sound of harps be heard among your peopleThis verse seems to hint that Satan was involved with music in Heaven. The NKJV says, “The workmanship of your timbrels and pipes was prepared for you on the day you were created,”although the exact meaning of this difficult Hebrew text is uncertain. There may have been such instruments in heaven, but there is no evidence outside this verse to verify it.Revelation 5:8And when he took the scroll, the four living beings and the twenty-four elders fell down before the Lamb. Each one had a harp, and they held gold bowls filled with incense, which are the prayers of God’s people.This verserefer to harps, but not to timbrels or pipes. Revelation 15:2I saw before me what seemed to be a glass sea mixed with fire. And on it stood all the people who had been victorious over the beast and his statue and the number representing his name. They were all holding harps that God had given them.The two Scripture passages that describe Satan before he fell areEsekiel 28:12-1912 “Son of man, take up a lament concerning the king of Tyre and say to him: ‘This is what the Sovereign Lord says:
“ ‘You were the model of perfection,
full of wisdom and perfect in beauty.

the garden of God;

on the day you were created they were prepared.
14 You were anointed as a guardian cherub,
for so I ordained you.
You were on the holy mount of God;
you walked among the fiery stones.
15 You were blameless in your ways
from the day you were created
till wickedness was found in you.
16 Through your widespread trade
you were filled with violence,
and you sinned.
So I drove you in disgrace from the mount of God,
and I expelled you, O guardian cherub,
from among the fiery stones.
17 Your heart became proud
on account of your beauty,
and you corrupted your wisdom
because of your splendor.
So I threw you to the earth;
I made a spectacle of you before kings.
18 By your many sins and dishonest trade
you have desecrated your sanctuaries.
So I made a fire come out from you,
and it consumed you,
and I reduced you to ashes on the ground
in the sight of all who were watching.
19 All the nations who knew you
are appalled at you;
you have come to a horrible end
and will be no more.’ â€

“Son of man, sing this funeral song for the king of Tyre. Give him this message from the Sovereign Lord:“You were the model of perfection,full of wisdom and exquisite in beauty. You were in Eden, the garden of God.Your clothing was adorned with every precious stone— red carnelian, pale-green peridot, white moonstone, blue-green beryl, onyx, green jasper, blue lapis lazuli, turquoise, and emerald—all beautifully crafted for you and set in the finest gold.They were given to you on the day you were created. I ordained and anointed you as the mighty angelic guardian.( Hebrew guardian cherub)You had access to the holy mountain of Godand walked among the stones of fire. “You were blameless in all you didfrom the day you were createduntil the day evil was found in you.Your rich commerce led you to violence,and you sinned.o I banished you in disgracefrom the mountain of God.I expelled you, O mighty guardian,from your place among the stones of fire.Your heart was filled with pridebecause of all your beauty.Your wisdom was corruptedby your love of splendor.So I threw you to the groundand exposed you to the curious gaze of kings.You defiled your sanctuarieswith your many sins and your dishonest trade.So I brought fire out from within you,and it consumed you.I reduced you to ashes on the groundin the sight of all who were watching.All who knew you are appalled at your fate.You have come to a terrible end,and you will exist no more.”
Isaiah 14:12-15.“How you are fallen from heaven, O shining star, son of the morning! You have been thrown down to the earth, you who destroyed the nations of the world.13 For you said to yourself, ‘I will ascend to heaven and set my throne above God’s stars.I will preside on the mountain of the gods far away in the north. (Or on the heights of Zaphon). I will climb to the highest heavens and be like the Most High.’ Instead, you will be brought down to the place of the dead, down to its lowest depths.Satan was the “anointed cherub” Esekiel 28:14I ordained and anointed you as the mighty angelic guardian.(Hebrew guardian cherub)you had access to the holy mountain of Godand walked among thestones of fire.He was adorned with every precious jewel imaginable Esekiel 28:13You were in Eden, the garden of God.Your clothing was adorned with every precious stone—red carnelian, pale-green peridot, white moonstone,blue-green beryl, onyx, green jasper, blue lapis lazuli, turquoise, and emerald—all beautifully crafted for you and set in the finest gold.They were given to youon the day you were created.He was “the model of perfection, full of wisdom and perfect in beauty” Esekiel 28:11bYou were the model of perfection, full of wisdom and exquisite in beauty.
Likely he was the highest of all angels. He was persuasive enough to convince one-third of the angels to join him in his rebellion Revelation 12:3-4Then I witnessed in heaven another significant event. I saw a large red dragon with seven heads and ten horns, with seven crowns on his heads.His tail swept away one-third of the stars in the sky, and he threw them to the earth. He stood in front of the woman as she was about to give birth, ready to devour her baby as soon as it was born.Even after his fall from heaven, not even Michael the archangel dared to stand up to him without the Lord’s help Jude 9But even Michael, one of the mightiest of the angels,( the archangel.) did not dare accuse the devil of blasphemy, but simply said, “The Lord rebuke you!” (This took place when Michael was arguing with the devil about Moses’ body.)Satan fell because of pride. He did not like being “second best.” He wanted to be God:
Isaiah 14:13For you said to yourself, ‘I will ascend to heaven and set my throne above God’s stars.I will preside on the mountain of the gods far away in the north.(Or on the heights of Zaphon)
Was Satan the head musician? This cannot be answered definitively. Scripture does not say enough about what his duties were in heaven. Considering the fact that the angels constantly worship God
Isaiah 6:3They were calling out to each other,“Holy, holy, holy is the Lord of Heaven’s Armies! The whole earth is filled with his glory!”
Revelation 4:8Each of these living beings had six wings, and their wings were covered all over with eyes, inside and out. Day after day and night after night they keep on saying,“Holy, holy, holy is the Lord God, the Almighty—the one who always was, who is, and who is still to come.”
It is possible that Satan led that worship. One thing is sure: for Satan to rebel despite having such an exalted position and close relationship with God, the devil is surely due his eternal destiny Revelation 20:10Then the devil, who had deceived them, was thrown into the fiery lake of burning sulfur, joining the beast and the false prophet. There they will be tormented day and night forever and ever..
